Hi. Recently I bought the 3Dmp wireless dongle. I tested it on my AfricaTwin 2025 and I have to say it is an excellent tool working almost perfectly. I discovered that from time to time is not working properly when trying to switch between displays of Apple Car Play and Honda normal display when you are driving. You must switch the engine Off to resolve the problem which is not really nice and safe to do it when driving. Maybe we need a display switch to turn the Apple car play off/on?
And yes to install it properly is not an easy thing. I had to try and check the "Remember settings" feature on the Honda display several times. Yes I discovered that maybe first you have to switch it first with a normal usb-c wire and only than with wireless dongle. In the end I succeeded and now it remembers my Apple CarPlay settings. And yes I have a question for the producer: in the future will be the possibility to upgrade the software of the product?

Regarding the issue when switching back to Apple CarPlay while riding, and also the installation difficulty you mentioned, both are usually related to the motorcycle not detecting the intercom connection correctly. For safety reasons, the system may then block switching back to CarPlay while riding, and it may also fail to save or restore the CarPlay settings properly.
Regarding software updates, the current firmware is the stable version chosen specifically for the Africa Twin / NT1100. For these motorcycles, stability is the priority.
